Make Your Soul A Fortress To Shelter Yourself…And So Others May Seek Shelter In You
Imagine you have castle and in it you have something very precious stored up which is not only unique, but in fact is a one of a kind artifact. This gem is sought out by many, and those who desire it most, are willing to go to great extremes to take possession of it. Your enemy is crafty and can and will use any means, including force to bring it under their control!
What measures would you take to preserve and protect this precious artifact? Would you not be almost singularly focused in your efforts to build an unbreakable fortress? Would you befriend, plead, and engage as many allies as you can to build that fortress and to protect your valuable interest? Would you take some time on a daily basis to expand the strength and depth of the fortress you have created!
Would you not take time to spot check daily, to make sure you haven’t somehow left yourself vulnerable?
Would you not have a regiment taking on night duty to prevent a sneak attack?
Well our soul is that precious artifact and your body is the temple in which the spirit of God dwells!
Hang on to it with everything you’ve Got!!!!
“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” Corinthians 3:16-17.
