Sweet As Honey

A Loving Beekeeper and Their Bees.   Are You Staying Busy?

Sweet as honey.

It is said that honey can and has been preserved for thousands of years!  It has been called “The Nectar Of The Gods” and the process by which honey is produced is an incredible testament to its place in life and the Universe.  You see, all flowering and fruit-bearing plants require bees to extract the nectar and, as they do so and go plant to plant, pollinate them to produce fruit!  Without this pollination process, the flower would stay dormant, wither and die.

These busy bees extract from the bloom nectar which is collected and taken back to the source hive to become sweet honey!  This is a vital life function, necessary for all of us!  About one-third of the human diet is derived from insect-pollinated plants and honey bees are responsible for 80 percent of this.  So it is with us in our life journey and spiritual growth process.

In order for us to bear fruit, we need to give of ourselves nectar to make sweet honey, and the honey bee in return leaves pollen, which allows us then to produce fruit.

When we give of ourselves by attending mass and sharing of ourselves with others, sweet honey is made and we in turn receive pollen (Christ in the Eucharist) so that we may produce good and abundant fruit.  Without either of these (participation in the Mass and the Eucharist) there is no lasting honey and how can we hope to produce fruit?  And where does that leave you at the harvest?
