Jesus sent his disciples out two by two
To share the burdens
To share the grace, the gifts and the glory of God and all he is and all he has done
He sent us out so that our prayers United become fully United
“When two or more are gathered in my name, I am with you”
Unity is the Heart of the Divine Nature
A gathering
A union of hearts, minds, and souls
A union of memories
A reflection of God’s grace and His glory and a return of love and gratitude
We need each other!
We need God!
Help and encourage each other now to engage in grace
To see it, seek it, embrace it, hold on to it!
Be thankful for it!
To humbly ask for more of it to gain an even greater union
To be spiritually one in God alone, to live with Him, of Him, by Him, and for Him!
Grace upon Grace!
Strength to Strength!
Love begetting Love!
A Marriage bond!
As Christ is in union with His church
It binds us in union but does not imprison us
It holds us together but does not Lord it over us!
It sacrifices but only but only for the greater graces out of love for others and for God
Sacrifices for an even more intimate union
Matthew 18:20 (RSV)
“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
