Staying Connected

Ever feel like you’re a little disoriented?  Like you’re disconnected from everything going on around you?  

You feel like you really lack focus, and you want to get back on track, when things in your life seemed to click, but you don’t know quite how?

In fact you’re even wondering how you got here?

St. Augustine once said that all people were created for communion with God, and that our hearts will never rest until they rest in God!

All too often we try to fill this void with superficial rewards, but they only leave us wanting!

Meditative prayer is the only way to ‘scratch the itch” our souls have to be intimate with God, and gain the peace and serenity that kind of intimacy rewards us with!

“Then Yeshua said, ‘I am the true vine, and my Father takes care of the vineyard. He removes every one of my branches that doesn’t produce fruit. He also prunes every branch that does produce fruit to make it produce more fruit.  You are already clean[a] because of what I have told you.  Live in me, and I will live in you.  A branch cannot produce any fruit by itself. It has to stay attached to the vine.  In the same way, you cannot produce fruit unless you live in me.  I am the vine. You are the branches.  Those who live in me while I live in them will produce a lot of fruit.  But you can’t produce anything without me.  Whoever doesn’t live in me is thrown away like a branch and dries up.  Branches like this are gathered, thrown into a fire, and burned.  If you live in me and what I say lives in you, then ask for anything you want, and it will be yours.  You give glory to my Father when you produce a lot of fruit and therefore show that you are my disciples.'”  John 15: 1-8.

Well, we all need to keep grounded, rooted and connected!

Intimate prayer is what “keeps us connected” and our daily actions with our hearts and souls in union to God allows us to produce the abundant fruit of Christian living.

Like any smart device which needs to be “plugged in and recharged” to operate, so it is that our souls need meditative prayer to re-connect with God, and supercharge our lives!

Time to retrofit yourself, get plugged in and engaged, and reconnect with God through sincere humble prayer!
